    byte = a set of bits

    bps = bits per second

    Kbps = kilobits per second =1000 bits per second

    Mbps = Million bits per second =1,000,000 bits per second

    Gbps = Gigabits per second = 1,000,000,000 (one billion) bits per second

    Tbps = Terabits per second = 1,000,000,000,000 (one trillion) bits per second

    (Network speed is mesured in 1000 units, memory and storage space in 1024 units)

    3.152 MBPS = ADSL

    Why do they not have it there? -.-

    I guess upload should be faster and is on winmx, dunno what happened.

  4. No its not. You can change it. Some verizon software might change it to 10mbps while your friend has 100. It doesnt matter as max connection speed for verizon is  7mbps anyways. So if you have 10mbps, youll never have it slower. Now if were talking about FIOS, then 30mbps might be a problem on a 10mbps netword card.

  6. If you live in New York ,youre screwed for now. Theire fixing it all up. Anywhere near NY, you still might be screwed. They supposedly fixed it Jan 20, but It might be today as Jan 20 is technically after 12PM yesterday, but they could take it as today. Anyways, youll have to wait.

  7. Rev, You are and always will be remembered if you leave or whatever, as you are one of the most helpfull people here. But please, dont get mad at something so silly. Take Van Buren for example, he doesnt come here and fight because he has been Smited... he even decided to stay out of this whole thread (good for him). Don't get me wrong, you are a smart person and all, but dont get mad, get glad  :haha:.

    .s1, why even be a mod? Seriously, do mods do anything besides move topics?  To me, you are a funny guy  :evil6:. I don't have anything against you, even when you said cable was unlimited, and we started this fight, at the end, you said it was fun. Heck, it sure was fun. So even if you dont be mod anymore, who cares? What, you cant move topic anymore? Oh man, that sucks.

  8. Ok, good luck.

    If they say its you, its not. You live in NY right? If you do, then its definately not you. Look at this nice and clean trace route:
