Honesty you would be doing yourself a favor if you don't..... i had NAV and AVG Pro and those are just not  worth installing.... thats what i thought about norton when i compared it to AVG..... Heres why' when AVG failed to pick up and delete about 18 virus infections NAV did and deleted them.... Then when i thought Norton was great Here comes KASPERSKY na d found and destroyed 24 virus infections that norton failed to find and delete....

i've tried the beta of kaspersky already..

avg always kept me safe and clear. along with my microsoft anti-spyware. spybot, ad aware, spywareblaster and the only firewall i use is the hardware firewall in my router.

i'm giving avg's new bundled software.  avg antivirus + firewall.

i've got my heart on avg. it's never done me wrong.. i just love the lil guy

avg has a trojan scanner and many other seperate from

their virus program under they're utilities section

You're not the only one. The download test has been randomly freezing for me too lately.

j79zlr developed a calculator with Mnosteele and Dannjr from DSLNuts [i am a mod there], that you can use for any speed, the general CCS files are convenient, but this is really a better way for you to get your settings, since you can input a different MTU and up/download speeds.  It will also generate the CCS file directly for you to download which you can then input into Cablenut.

Running any tweaks. it seems to be working quite well for me..

and it's also much more stable and not all over the place.

I mean yeah the tweaks i did have set, were well worked out

for what my current connection was. and i was pushing 7-7.3Mbps.

but it would never be stable. i'd rather recieve these results on a stable basis.

and like i said.. maybe in my case it just works well this way.

I use Chakra Browser to surf the web, I use FireFox or K-Meleon for surf the interactive websites. I also use another browsers like Internet Explorer, Avant Browser and Acoo Browsers....

Outage complaints in major market surge

The Washington Post reports on a surge of Comcast service complaints in Montgomery County, Maryland and the D.C. area - outages Comcast blames on Verizon Fios installation crews. "County officials say that last month, 265 residents filed complaints about Comcast with Montgomery's office of cable and communication services, up from a monthly average of about 100 since the beginning of the year." Most of the article focuses on attempts to get Comcast technical and billing problems corrected.

Anybody have news on Comcast speeds for the next 6-12 months? If so post here. Are the rumors about 14/4 speeds will come since Comcast bought out adelphia? If so when? Thanks all.

i posted a link to a rumor of the 14/4 upgrade about a month ago.

which was thanks to broadbandreports. if it comes true. then I'd be overwhelmingly happy.

but if it doesn't arrive by time Verizon FiOS is up in my So Cali area  then i won't care about comcast.
