  2. :::.. Upload Stats ..::: Connection is:: 967 Kbps about 1 Mbps (tested with 1013 kB) Upload Speed is:: 118 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server2) Test Time:: Tue Aug 23 2005 03:31:07 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time) Bottom Line:: 17X faster than 56K 1MB upload in 8.68 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 324.12 % faster than the average for host (charter.com) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-NVZK8EB9W
  3. i got the same number of processes. it runs fast a lot of people just like to run stupid ****
  4. :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 5046 Kbps about 5 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Download Speed is:: 616 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (main) Test Time:: Sat May 21 2005 00:19:25 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time) Bottom Line:: 90X faster than 56K 1MB download in 1.66 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 114.36 % faster than the average for host (charter.com) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-OREZ0SBT6 Thats the best score I got on testmy so far and the progress bar was smooth now not like before where it would spike percentages. Who ever tweaked it did a good job.
  5. There's gona be a lot of people testing with it though making the host stats useless
  6. I use FF with 256MB of RAM and 850MHz processor on XP. It could be my modem. It's an old SB3100 but I can reach full speed with it. My NIC is old too, well my hole setup is old hahahah. IE is the same but spiking in small numbers like 5 to 10 and 15 to 25. FF spikes in larger increments. But I get full speed dling so this is not a problem at all. I just wanted to know if I can smooth it out.
  7. The biggest test size. It happens with all tests.
  8. When I run a speed test its never at a constant rate of speed. It will jump from 20 to 40 and 60 to 80%. Anything I can do to make it smooth.
  9. Can testmy.net have tests like this http://www.giganews.com/test_connect.html instead of the ones it has now. http://www.giganews.com/test_connect.html is the most accurate speed test I found and it looks good too.
  10. is this ds3 at ur house or work place?
  11. I want to see how much I can send and receive at the same time. I've always had cable and I was never interested in knowing about DSL or anything else. Doesn't Full Duplex mean that you can send and receive at the same time? Say you have a connection thats 5/1. Can you send 1Mbps and receive 5Mbps at the same time at full speed?
  12. Is there a speed test that can test your download speed while uploading at the same time. I tried to dl something and run a upload speed test at the same time but I don't get accurate results.
  13. I noticed that testing after a PC restart with FF and IE using a direct link to the speed test I get higher speeds by as much as 1Mbps over the cap. The test actually hangs for about 1sec and than it boosts up to about the middle. At the same time when it boosts the text at the top of the test page loads and starts to scroll. The scrolling test might give inaccurate test results. I think it has something to do with caching the java script for the scrolling test. If it's cached the test doesn't boost anymore. Also I never reached my full speed testing on this site but I reach it dling. I think its because of my RWIN setting. Back when I had it higher the speed test would boost and give high inaccurate speed results and combined with a direct link to the dl test after a PC restart it would go over the cap my as much as 1.4Mbps.
  14. I tried it and it seemed slower than FF1.0
  15. Cant do much with it since its cable. Wish I had this on DSL but I cant complain. Also don't run much tweaking. I don't like it
  16. I pay $42 a month :::.. Upload Stats ..::: Connection is:: 904 Kbps about 0.9 Mbps (tested with 1013 KB) Upload Speed is:: 110 KB/s Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/ Bottom Line:: 16 times faster than 56K you can upload 1MB in 9.31 second(s) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/cgi-bin/get.cgi?Test_ID=N57ZKD19E
  17. I looked at my modem signal levels and my downstream SNR seems low. This is what I have now. DOWNSTREAM Frequency 681000000 Hz Locked Signal to Noise Ratio 32 dB QAM 256 Power Level 0 UPSTREAM Frequency 36000549 Hz Ranged Power Level 39 dBmV Is 32dB too low for downstream SNR? I read that it has to be above 25 or 30.
  18. What list? Is that a good list or bad list.
  19. 6m/512K Uploading I average out at 57KB.
  20. :::..
