Multithread Speed Test Results - Share & Compare
rammolo replied to CA3LE's topic in Show off your speed
Well quite well im not talking about a LTE connection like Cable Guy says, in talking on my desktop wich i use for video editing, I have a steady 40MbpsD and 2.5MbpsU Cable Connection, i download a HD movie in less than 10 minutes (awesome), but i dont really see a big difference just surfing the web, i do have some plug-ins and extension with Firefox, but seems there is a not so big difference in PLAIN BROWSING when i compare it to my old 8 Mbps Connection. -

Hi Folks, I have an acer 5100, with Vista pre-installed, have the same problem, it doesn't look for a different power profile while in battery power, though i can easily switch profiles manually. --rammolo

I usually get good speeds during daytime, it goes to a crawl in nights, but never as low as those posted speeds. --Rammolo -
Hi folks, If you are running Vista with 2 Gigs you wont really note a difference unless you run memory hunger applications as Gaming, even cad applications will run sweet with just 1 gig, if you really see some difference with readyboost, with 2 gigs then you have a problem.

I prefer speedtest.net. like the GUI of the site, results are about the same in both sites.
