Alright I'm a lil lost.... I really need u 2 help me though... My package is 256/128 and i have already made my cablenut settings at j79zlr's website just trying to find my perfect RWIN... EASILY... So if u could break it down it would help alot...

So I just keep changing my RWIN with the ones they give me until I get 64240 as my Unscaled Receive Window?

On this page https://testmy.net/forum/t-2097 it say on #16 that i should use a latency between 150ms and 300... Does he mean pick 150 or 300 for my latency... Or ping a site that will give me a latency between 150 and 300?

Naw... I got dsl... xp and thats it... Thats the thing i used J79zlr's thing but it says tha my latency is 2 big and i'm thinking that might be the reason for my slow test speeds...

I'm virtually lost! I don't know which cablenut settings i should use anymore! I really need some guidance and direction as to which are the best way to find out my perfect latency and stuff... I'm on a 256/128 bellsouth connection and really need some help with this... THANkz!

Sup Errbody... Know i've been gon for a minute...haven't really been tweaking that much but ive started again... And i know they got new kind of settings,methods,and ohter stuff soooooo... I just wanted to know whats the easiest way to find ur latency for tha RWIN Caculator and what is tha best cablenut settings.Since i'm still using tha one on dslnuts.com in tha tips & tricks section... Holla...

Or do u have any other suggestions that might help?

So should I put it on Auto?... Because I had it on 10mbps half duplex before I changed it to 100mbps Full Duplex...

I'm Kinda confused... I did tha tracert but which one would I use as my latency

Every time that I do:tracert www.testmy.net>testmy.txt... It waits a couple seconds and goes back to C:Documents and settingsOwner>... and nothing happens

To get your latency,Should U ping... 5,10 websites, stop on an even number or odd... I don't know?

I mean I'm cool with IE(Avant Browser)... But I'm just worried about tha security holez and exploitz and stuff...

I've been hearing alot of talk bout this on here... And I don't know which one to turn to... But I know one thing I'm not goin back to Internet Explorer...

AVG is tha best... It's just that tha interface isn't like norton,bitdefender,NOD32 and tha rest... It looks cheap so it looks like it can't protect you... But don't be fooled... It's tha only program I seen that will get Trojan Horse Droppers,Trojan Horse Dumpers and shit,and I've tested it against bitdefender,nod, mcafee,avast,norton and anti-vir... So if u ain't go AVG... Your computer got a cold.Betcha... Plus its free.

The main reason I got this dsl package is because it was cheap,I guess... at $24.00,I can trust that they'll have a good connection sense bellsouth services is only available in tha south... and also this is our phone company. And the way I see it I'm getting better speeds than ISDN and Dail-Up... So I consider this to be great if you've had Dail-Up for 3-years
