  2. Well then help me understand here, my upload stats say my connection is 372 kbps and speed is 45 kb/s. Why dont I get 372 speeds when im running a server and my friend tells me my speed is in the 45 range whats the difference in the two? :::.. Upload Stats ..::: Connection is:: 372 Kbps about 0.4 Mbps (tested with 579 kB) Upload Speed is:: 45 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (main) Test Time:: Tue May 10 17:12:25 CDT 2005 Bottom Line:: 7X faster than 56K 1MB upload in 22.76 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 30.53 % faster than the average for host (rr.com) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-25NZATYKF
  3. I agree they advertise 8mb down and 1mb up afor 54 bucks upgrade but thats cause they dont guarantee the upstream so of course i upgraded and no change at all i still have 50 kbps up to. blowsssssssssss
  4. Hey am I the only one with horrible upstream speeds from road runner. I have upgraded and all that and they say they don't "guarantee" upstream speeds. I only get 50kbps. Am i the only one.
  5. Hey yall I have absolutely horrible upstream speeds of only 600Kbps and 2Mbps down and im using roadrunner and they say they dont "Guarantee" upstream speeds so I was wondering if there is a way I can get past this. I have been reading the posts and I keep seeing referances to "tweaking" and Ill read on it more but can I do whatever that is and improve my upstream data? Thanks for yalls help. longhornguy09 :::.. 6. Hey im new to this but im trying to spread this around but roadrunner is confusing! They have fair download speeds but there upload speeds are not "guaranteed" i was told by tech support. So they advertise 2 Mbps down and 350k up for 40 bucks giving u one meg down and 50kpps upI tested other computers that use roadrunner and the same thing happed. BUT i have gone down to my friends house down in river oaks, the nicest part of houston tc, and they get what roadrunner advertises. So I hope sbc gets there hands on this so it will force them to "guarantee" upstream but for now, If you plan on running a server or nething on your network or pc, use dsl i guess, Even upgrading doesnt help. So its not your pc its you it. Hope this helps in a way. If any of yall live in texas and get the speeds that they advertise me email me at <snip> edited by php: you don't want your email address in the open here...
