You also mentioned your modem VS. comcast, they need to know the specific MAC address of the modem you have hooked to there line. If you have changed the modem ,call them and give it to them , its on the bottom . Most of the time

OK, just push the tiny button on the back or side or whatever, and reset to default. If it doesn't have one, open the web interface and do so. Restart everything. I the order of .............Modem......wait for the lights to stop flashing, so it gets an IP , then the router, wait .........until the light s are on that say internet or LAN or whatever, then start your machine. From my experience, GRUB will allow for booting Linux, or windows, by choice of bootloader. If you do not want linux on the HDD any more, you need to reformat , unless you are savvy w/ partitions. If you want Linux and XP, fist delete the partitions that you secondly attempted to install XP on. Boot your Linux disk, do a repair (may or may not work), getting Linux up and running again at any rate. (W/ Grub). At that point you should be able to install XP and format an NT file system. If all else fails, clear the HDD by deleting " * " partitions , and start over w/ linux using GRUB (not LILO). Correct me if I am wrong. But Linux uses a swap set up ,(partition) on setup , and another partition I forget what it is.

No, the longer the post , the more info. Thanks, I was'nt aware , there was 32bit and 64 bit , folders, wow, could you imagine how much code had to be written for that? I worked w/ the first beta, man , cool looking and all w/ the black-glass, but the bugs were tremendous, but then again , thats what the beta testing is for. I will wait, I am waiting fir the AMD quad , and at least a service pack 1 , for vista. Then , it's on for me
