Have you ran the tcp optomizer, and cable nut?  Also make sure you connect to the proxy and get rid of viruses, adware, spyware and all that stuff.  If you can, windows update I think helps, (getting sp2).  Other than that, try clearing your history/cache and cookies...Also (for me atleast) Firefox tends to give me about half the download speed than IE.  Im on IA8 89 W 1150

Here are my download speeds (its like evening hours 6:45pm so its sort of slow)

That looks like the kind of speed I get when I test in Firefox. What browser did you test with?

Thanks for the feedback.

I am using Internet Explorer with Windows 2000

I have run SpyBot, Ad-Aware, Deleted Cookies and Temp files. Nothing showed up and it did not make a difference.

I have not run tcp optimizer or cable nut, where did I get those?

Cablenut can be found at www.cablenut.com.

TCP Optimizer can be found at www.speedguide.net on the "downloads/patches" page.

Use this file for the Cablenut tweaks: http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=10818.0;attach=9064

Just double click on the file, and they should enter automatically. Then go to "save to registry", exit, and reboot.

Hey bird fan, those settings are your personal custom settings?  Do you recommend them over the regular satellite css file provided with Cablenut?

They're kol's, but mine can be found here  if you want to try them out.

They aren't custom, but I've used a lot of different tweaks. I use SatSpeed which is a program just like cablenut, but it's easier to set and you have to pay for it.

SatSpeed Free ?

I said in my post that you have to pay for it. You need to pay $25 for a lifetime membership at www.copperhead.cc

In addition to satspeed, you get more programs available for download (including an FAP moniter), and a membership to their Direcway support forums.
