jamaicarocks Posted January 5, 2006 CID Share Posted January 5, 2006 Is there anyway to find out more from a ip address eg .like computer name ??? by using a program? ,because i use web log analyzer on my website and can see all ip addresses ....time spent ....which folders accessed etc ..but want to know who accesses it....not by just domain name or ISP name.. something more like PC name... Blunted 2 Posted January 5, 2006 CID Share Posted January 5, 2006 i think you only get those names on lan cause if you tracert an ip it would say it there. when i trace route in to myself with my other line i dont see the name but when i trace route out on the same line i do cause i'm on lan. Dark_Matter Posted January 5, 2006 CID Share Posted January 5, 2006 I have a method to grab a computers Mac Address, i'm not sure it get's more accurate than that short of the persons name, and address using the PC LOL.
