Optimum online offers speeds of up to 30 mbps down so being "only" 35% of the average for that company could still be within the norm if you are only signed up for a 3000 Kbps package. I called my cable company and they said that 10mps is the max download speed but that most people wont get near that. The tech guy had me run a test and my system is downloading at 1mps. This is up from 35%. Is that possible? And could it have been that easy? If it is, I don't know how to say thankyou enough. The rest of my info: spybot lavalsoft spyblaster Avast! Latest Windows Updates (auto updater) Connection via ethernet link (not USB) Windows 2000 professional CCleaner Evidence Eliminator Optonline cable provider w/ max download speed 10mps Last question: I don't really understand firewalls and I don't have one installed.
