resopalrabotnick Posted January 14, 2006 CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 well i figured he wasn't trying to log on to his toilet. but a little more info as to the device in question might help. tm24ns58 Posted January 14, 2006 Author CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 There is no device in question. The DW6000 is directly connected to the computer.
resopalrabotnick Posted January 14, 2006 CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 well you never said you were trying to log on to the dw6000
tm24ns58 Posted January 14, 2006 Author CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 Ok I just plugged things back in as normal. What I have here is 2 computers hooked up to a hub. One computer can connect to 192.168.0.1 and the other on can not. Weird.
resopalrabotnick Posted January 14, 2006 CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 don't know if the dw modem has router functions. since it has only one ethernet port (inferred from your description of using a hub) i guess it don't. in that case the first comp to connect to it for an ip would get the ip and since the other comp has a different mac address the modem don't wanna talk to it. tm24ns58 Posted January 14, 2006 Author CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 The way things are hooked up now is the way they have been for almost a year with no problems with this issue. All of a sudden this computer can not connect. I tried a restore point but it can not use it. Spywareblaster screenshot point was also a no go. ghostmaster Posted January 14, 2006 CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 On the computer that won't connect, go to start, run, type cmd and enter. then type Ipconfig /renew then try to connect to it again...
tm24ns58 Posted January 14, 2006 Author CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 Thanks for all the replies. I have found the issue. Under Tools>Internet Options>Connections>Lan Settings>Advanced.. Some how my exceptions box information was deleted. After re-entering the information all if fine.
