Lol these results are way wrong...

1Gbps Solid connection

You get a great connection to some places, not other. Pretty common with all Gbps right now.  Even commercial. Thanks

A download manager, torrent, or FTP would typically download faster than a web browser, since they don't have to update the graphical page layout and run JavaScript. Even a direct linear download (or a few of them) via the same browser to disk with all tabs closed or inactive would be faster. I've never used newsgroups, but I'd guess those clients are also more efficient. Using modern "web apps" for heavy duty data transfer (web torrent, videos) is strange. I guess they can work if you have a fast space age computer, but I don't see the point.

During testing with TestMy, I observed that the browser would keep all the downloaded random data in memory, until the tab with TestMy was closed, and when memory was exhausted, it would try to write this data to disk to the temporary cache, which is typically heavily fragmented from downloading small web files, like images, and becomes a bottle neck. Tests were reasonably accurate only during the first couple runs after a fresh startup. Otherwise, it is not so much internet speed that was measured, but instead the "browser speed".

Charter Spectrum 30/4Mbps connection for $14.99/month + $5 for optional Netgear R6300v2 – Smart WiFi Router AC1750 Dual Band Gigabit Router = $19.99/month (no taxes/fees on internet at my location)

Can't beat this deal when $ is tight and you're on a fixed income.  If you're disabled, and are in the Spectrum cable service area check out this link to see if you qualify for this plan: https://www.spectrum.com/browse/content/spectrum-internet-assist.html

My cellular based broadband provider Three made a recent blunder in our area by putting up a cellular mast in the distance that seems to be operating on the same frequency as the local mast.  When my router "sees" both, it gets knocked offline, much like trying to listen to a radio station with two stations broadcasting on the same frequency.

I've managed to get back online by carefully positioning an antenna such that an obstacle obstructs the direction of the unwanted mast.  It seems to work, but with a severe hit on my signal:

Despite what appears like a barely usable 4G signal, I still manage to get quite decent speed from the cell, surprisingly from vertical-only polarity:

It wouldn't surprise me if many others were knocked off the cell also, freeing up some bandwidth for me. ;)  As Three doesn't seem interested in fixing the issue (I reported the issue, but they claim there is no issue), I decided to order a pair (for MIMO) of the most directional LTE antennas I could source to try to isolate the local mast.

I noticed you had a couple of higher points when Multithread testing. Your other tests were to Dallas and NY. Are you closer to another test server?
