In your cablenut adjuster window, try changing DefaultReceiveWindow to 128480, save to reg, reboot.

The problem lies here:

click START to begin

running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 298.21kB/s

running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 1.73Mb/s

Your PC is connected to a Cable/DSL modem

Alarm: Duplex mismatch condition exists: Host set to Full and Switch set to Half duplex

There is a mismatch in duplex setting between your modem and your ISP. That is why you get timed out in your 2nd hop.

Unfortunately, I am not an expert with hardware configuations.

Anyone can help here?

trogers,

thanks for the reply. i have no idea how to fix this. i hope someone can give me a hand with this problem. my isp send someone home to verify the line and he said it was all good. he pointed out that the node was set too low. now my uploads speeds ahve cange drastically and are even with the advertised speeds. my download speed has an average of 220kB/s, i know i can do better thatn that since i have a 2048 kB/s connection. Thanks again

Found this link that explains about Full Duplex and Half Duplex operations and why your download speed is under performing:

http://www.tcpipguide.com/free/t_SimplexFullDuplexandHalfDuplexOperation.htm

http://www.tcpipguide.com/free/t_SimplexFullDuplexandHalfDuplexOperation-2.htm

When your modem/router is set to Full Duplex mode following your ISP's setting your test report will look like this:

------  Web100 Detailed Analysis  ------

Cable modem/DSL/T1 link found.

Link set to Full Duplex mode

Information: throughput is limited by other network traffic.

Good network cable(s) found

Normal duplex operation found.
