Brtually inconsistent

Hey guys, back again with another problem--hope you kind folks can help me again!

During the day(9am-3pm) my ping times are great....

From 3pm-10pm they start to become very slow and inconsistent -- really starting to bug me because I need good ping times for my online gaming on Playstation 2.

I am setup through a router(Linksys BEFSR81) and my Comcast modem model # is CXC250.

I am considering switching modems -- I tried calling Comcast and they checked my line and said all was good. I'm really getting frustrated with this as the ping times are so inconsistent.

Alright here is the deal.. PA is a hot spot right now.. comcast is aware of it.. Keep taking a look at the tracerts and if they get worse for more than 24-48 hours.. give them a call..

Now theplanet is currently doing some network maintainance.. So the high pings are not unusual..  I would not worry about that.  But the keep an eye on the Comcast network portion.
