Swimmer Posted January 28, 2006 CID Share Posted January 28, 2006 I am not 100% sure of what you are asking.. if you are referring to the DHCP service then yes it does need to be on.. IF you have a static IP address from your ISP and you are not using a router then you could disable it but it is recommended that you just leave it on..
