Blunted 2 Posted January 29, 2006 CID Share Posted January 29, 2006 i have the 30/2 from optimum and its you dont see 30 mb anywhere except optimum onlines site which is gay and i know the sites can handle it cause they do my friends fios at 29 to 31 mb every time but mine is all over and my fastest speeds to here is in my sig below which sucks for 30 mb. i would advise you to get fios instead of optimum if it is available cause the speed optimum online has isnt very stable at all especally out of state or across the country. you will lose more than half of your speed to a west coast server and even with my 30 mb down i will be lucky to get 7 or 8 to a west coast server and my 6 mb dsl gets the same speeds to ny and seattle which tells you how bad optimum is if they lose over 22 mb to seattle. just my 2 cents but stay away from them and get fios. I always got my speed at around 28.5 down and 5 up consistently unlike cable internet. It is true that there are very few sites out there that connect at that speed.
