BIG BIG problems

for starters, i have 5 computers 4 are hard wired to a dlink di-624 router of them 1 is xp the others are 2000, and i wireless pc that is running win 2000 also, my modem is a moterolla surfboard supplied by my service provider which is comcast, i have spent  the last 2 months almost every day on the phone with comcast and dlink trying to get this thing running properly, all of the computers are on the internet, but my connection is crap, it is only half what it should be, on any of them, "which makes playing day of defeat source very hard"

i have even tried going direct modem from my  main computer, with no luck it is only marginaly better, i am including all the diagnostic things i can find for you with this so mabee some one who is smarter than me can give me some ideas.

the upload part is much better but the down load part is not as good and seams kinda slow and sluggish when going onto yahoo to get to testmy.net

Somehow, the ccs files did not change your PC buffer to 124 Kbyte or 255 Kbyte, thus your throughput is still limited to about 5 Mbps.

I suggest you use the TCP Optimizer as this program can modify your network adaptor.

Use this ccs file.

Make sure your modem and router are not placed next to each other but are kept separated a few feet apart. Also, ensure they and any signal cables are keep away from sound speakers, phone sets or other electrical devices that may emit electromagnetic interference to your signals.

As you can see, a RWIN (buffer) of 125 KBytes allow your comp to transmit up to 7.5 Mbps, higher than your 6.6 Mbps subscribed speed.

Your erratic pings levels and your download speed caps seems to suggest that there is some kind of interference in your signals. A problem with the phone line or some other seemingly unlikely source? Last week, we had a guy here whose line was affected by his heat pump located on the other side of the wall.

ok when i get home from work to night i will move things around and see how that works, does that all make a diffrence on all the puters in my network????

and is that what is causing my internet to be slow geting on yahoo after boot up??? or if i go from yahoo to testmy.net it takes about 2 mn.  after this last css setting??

ok i loaded that ccs file it works a lil better, how far away should cordless phone be from my modem roughter and puter???????also thank you for all the help i really apriceate it, i have to go to work now :((    i hope you have a great day and i will move things around when i get home tonight once again thanks for all tha help!!!
