open adjuster in cablenut, click file in top left corner, load customsettings file, browse to C:ProgramCablenutVanBurens cablenut settingsWinXP_2K_CABLE_DSLMSS1452

choose DSL PPPoE 3000 384 file and click save to registry+ reboot

hey , "xyther4523" .

i wouldnt take too much stock in that yahoo speed test, lol..

Im in florida, and when i took the test in florida, i got

1800 / 339

then i re-ran it with the one in texas , and got

Download = 2.986 Mbps

Upload = 343.61 kbps

then tried the one in NY

Download = 1.971 Mbps

Upload = 320.79 kbps

then once more in VA

Download = 2.111 Mbps

Upload = 311.45 kbps

Just stick with testmy, its the most accurate :)

same thing,

.s1, are you on sbc to? how u gettn in 400kb/s range?

i hit 317kb/s max, usually around ~310kb/s tho

ive called sbc several times and they will not give me my 3mbps - i think around ~370kb/s not sure tho, g0d i hate SBC

this was a speed test thru dslreports on the 1st server with load of 'busy'

2004-12-20 14:31:16 EST: 2350 / 401

Your download speed : 2407381 bps, or 2350 kbps.

A 293.8 KB/sec transfer rate.

Your upload speed : 410806 bps, or 401 kbps.

EDIT: I'm not so much concered about the upload speed test on just one server, more of i want all the DL i can get, not 75% of what i can get, im paying for it all not just 3/4

you have a MTU conflict

Max packet sent (MTU): 1492

Max packet recd (MTU): 1472

this can happen if you mix diffrent tweaks.

Do like this

Uninstall all other broadband tweaks but Cablenut.

after that reboot

Now open cablenut adjuster, click delete cablenut tweaks + click save to registry

reboot and run that tweak test again, then i can find out your real MTU

How would I change those? Does it have any real affect to my connection speed?

thanks =)

:)

:) xyther4523"],

Absolutely, a default systems speed will change drastically with just a few tweaks, for instance I just formated and reloaded my system recently and, my speed over doubled with just those few changes.........when a system is set up correctly doubling speed is not uncommon.

good luck:)
