OK...this is strange...

I just took this test.  Notice the speed.

Connection is:: 425 Kbps about 0.4 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)

Download Speed is:: 52 kB/s

Tested From:: https://testmy.net (server1)

Test Time:: Mon Feb 13 20:46:56 EST 2006

Bottom Line:: 8X faster than 56K 1MB download in 19.69 sec

Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 47.01 % of your hosts average (direcpc.com)

But if I download big driver file for ATI, I get normal speeds.  No it wasn't a cached download....

Everyone who slows down, try downloading the 35MB file from ATI and see what speeds you get...

You know I noticed that also.

I called DWay today and they asked me if I downloaded any big files and I told her no.

I wonder why she asked. I called be cause of my browser page load is very slow it takes forever.

That is weird.

A download of NVIDA drivers does NOT have the same effect though...this is Weird...

I downloaded something from majorgeeks and I didn't get the high burst (of about 300kb/s for like a second) that I normally get, but I was downloading in the 130's. Maybe that's why pages load so slow at this time of the night, we're not getting speed bursts... That still doesn't explain the slow speed tests, though. When I tested my speed earlier, I got 0.6mbps...
