You sure that this information is correct?  The Comanche program was scrapped, and I don't know of any 50mm cannon on any helicopter I know of.

Just curious.

shows how much you know, the comanche was not scraped, it is very much alive. and the comanche can have a 50mm cannon. it can also have a 30mm and a 20mm. it all depends on the mission type.

K O O L ! :biggun:

Lets argue :uzi::flipa::biggun:

It was still a "K O O L  VIDEO"

Even if they were shooting Daisy BB pistols, they wasted some sheet, and warned others what could could happen!!!!!!!!!!

You may want to recheck your info.  This is an Apache video using 30mm cannon.  Here are the links to back it up.  Follow them and you will get to the edited versions of this video.  Everyone of these talks about an Apache not the Commanche.

Well

Well I wasn't trying to start an argument, so no need to be defensive.  I have been in the Army for 17 years now and work on helicopters.  I worked on the Comanche project for 2 years, as well as taught at the schoolhouse.  Believe me the Comanche program is very much dead.  As far as the caliber of the weapon, wknight40 is absolutely correct, it is a 30mm chain gun.

And thanks for the welcome tommie.
