i have charter cable and my advertised speed is 384kbps.

Bottom Line:: 6X faster than 56K 1MB download in 23.27 sec

Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 6.79 % of your hosts average (aol.com)

You are running at 93% of your advertised speed, but you could run a little faster. Try TCP Optimizer. It works well for me. Or cablenut if you prefer.

I run a 1030 on an 800 advertised speed.

Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 67.14 % faster than the average for host (direcpc.com)

Did you follow the tabs at the top of the optimizer. The: other settings:MaxMTU:Latency (Ping). On the first page did you click custom settings,Window scalling Max MTU,TCP Recieve window,network adapter for NIC. And do the latency(PING) three times. Then and only then should you reboot. Also file and backup current settings. Then reboot.
