I live in a very small suburban area. What steps can I take? I have the exact same Verizon DSL connection at my business in the next town and it is about 5 times faster!

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for all the tips, sorry I wasn't sure what to do with this!

Verizon DSL on a linksys Wireless B router (BEFSW11s4). Spyware was dealt with thanks to some other forums and a recent problem - I currently use S&D, Ewido, Spyware Guard, and Mcafee.

Might I suggest trying it without the router if possible. Will tell you if it is the router. Also you might try running Ewido in safe mode with networking. Safemode: reboot, continually pushing F-8 till you get there, arrow key up to safe-mode w/networking,enter, next page enter again, till windows starts with black page, run Ewido, reboot, and done. Post back with results. Other speeds are consistent so far. Good luck.

Um....are you sure about that?  It looks to me like you have Verizon's $14.95 768k deal.  Check your actual package and let us know....
