Anyone Else In Iowa Noticing Better Speeds On Mediacom?

Over the Last 4 days Ive been gettin 5 or better on average

This Morning Was Nice

Connection is:: 6798 Kbps about 6.8 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB)

Download Speed is:: 830 kB/s

Tested From:: https://testmy.net  (Server 1)

Test Time:: 2006/04/07 - 5:14am

Bottom Line:: 119X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 1.23 sec

Tested from a 5983 kB file and took 7.21 seconds to complete

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; Alexa Toolbar)

Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 95.4 % faster than the average for host (mchsi.com)

Advertised Speeds are "up To" 5Mbps Downloading and 256 Up

But here lately its been anywhere from 800k to 2.3 Mbps

they have sent out line technicians to computer "support people" who knew less then I did

And they said well up to 3 Mbps is our advertised just look it up on the site (mchsi.com)

When I call the Support Line they say those speeds are unacceptable and call my local office who sends someone out and its the same routine all over again

Tier 2 In Des Moines Says Noise In the Lines

I Dont know I wish there was something better here But its Iowa So I guess Ill tolerate the Erratic speeds and hope for the best
