Strange upload test message

Advertised speeds are 6016/768 from Earthlink DSL - provisioned through Covad

I got these results today for download/upload:

Connection is:: 5125 Kbps about 5.13 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)

Download Speed is:: 626 kB/s

Tested From:: https://testmy.net  (Server 1)

Test Time:: 2006/06/05 - 3:27pm

Bottom Line:: 89X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 1.64 sec

Tested from a 2992 kB file and took 4.782 seconds to complete

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4

Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 247.93 % faster than the average for host (covad.net)

My question is about this diagnosis comment on the upload: May need help : running at only 83.61 % of your hosts average (covad.net)

Why would that say that?  According to the host stats here for Covad.net, the average upload is something like 338 Kbps:

wow.. that is very wierd. I've never seen that happen.  Do me a favor and run another test and paste the results again.

I ran an upload test and the diagnosis showed up correctly, it's wierd that it would do that for the upload and not the download because the same script is used to process both results so the both diagnosis' are written by the same lines of code....

I'm thinking it may have been because there was an error connecting to the scoare database... if it couldn't get the hosts average then it would resort to telling you what you saw.... normally that wouldn't show up though, did you see any errors on the page like "mysql database error" ??

Nope - results come back as they always do.  No errors on the page at all.

Here you are, I don't see anything weird (except what the bar chart shows for covad is about double what the host statistics actually show)

(sorry about blowing out the margins with the link, I don't see a way to upload the image directly to the forum.)
