I was just thinking that if maybe you can change it  from Fat32 to NTFS then maybe it would decompress like that. I don't really know but it was a thought.  :D My main drive is  NTFS and the other one is a Fat32 and the NTFS is the one that's NOT compressed. My Fat32 drive is compressed so maybe if you change it that will decompress it.      :)

I have checked and rechecked.  Looks like once an NTFS Drive is compressed that box disappears and it cannot be uncompressed unless you reformat.  But the good new is that in this case you don't have to turn off something that does not exist. NTSF cannot index compressed files anyway ....so even though the service was on it was just wasting CPU cycles ALL THE TIME!  I learned something!  TY!
