php Posted July 19, 2006 CID Share Posted July 19, 2006 Nope... a crossover connects the transmit data wires from one NIC to the receive data wires of the other NIC and vice versa. They're fairly cheap to buy, or you can hack up an existing cable and rewire it... I'd suggest buying one or making one though. It's rather easy to make a dead cable by hacking it up...
