I used to get 40-60% HIGHER than the average so I'm more than a little concerned.  My download speed has been cut more than in half and the only recent changes I've made to my computer setup are a new video card and a new mousepad and I don't think it's the mousepad.

I'm sure my system is stable, the CPU stands up to 12 hours of Prime95 and the video card stands up to 5 loops of 3Dmark06 professional.  Asus PCprobe says my mobo temp is 40C which seems low enough.  I felt the motherboard and the onboard ethernet and neither seemed even slightly warm.  This doesn't make any sense.

Literally pulling my hair out on this one.  My setup is listed below

edit:

I'm also getting BSODs sometimes talking about IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and the 0xd error.  I tried Microsoft's support site but found nothing helpfup, as usual.

Athlon 64 X2 3800+

2GB Nanya RAM

eVGA Geforce 7900 GT KO

ASUS A8NE mobo nforce4 chipset

Windows XP Professional

What does make sence is he is using a VERY powerful graphics card which requires ALOT of power. It could be taking power away from his networking device causing it not to function properly. I would try using a diffrent PSU if you have a spare one somewhere and see what happens.

Nod.

Ok I uninstalled the old ethernet drivers and installed the original Asus ones I was using before.  But the results seem as slow as before.  I'm out of ideas.  Any suggestions, gentlemen?  :angry5:
