Hi Roco,

Yeah it's a long way from India...

Am fed up of my net speed  :sad3:

I have a 96 Kbps connection and no, I haven't tried any

local speed test....it's of no use  :cry2:

I roughly pay around $15 a month and other ISP's are way too expensive...So i have no other option  :cry2:

I am based in the UK , and I loose  about 25% of my speed to Bangkok (5950 Miles)

if you want a local test try this one  http://www.speedtest.net/ ,

also check your computer using Antivirus and Spyware programs ,

also you can adjust some settings with https://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php

and maybe gain some speed , but read the instructions first

good luck

http://www.midcocomm.com/LatestNews/VermillionYanktonAcquisition/HowwillthisTransitionAffectYou/Index.cfm

Read it for yourself and you will see why i am kinda ticked about it thats why i am going to call them in an half an hour.

First offered through a targeted deployment last spring, Optimum Online Ultra delivers this extremely high rate of speed over Cablevision's existing network facilities, leveraging the spectrum above that which is traditionally used to provide video, voice and data services to create new, QoS-managed bandwidth.

Optimum Online Ultra is available across Cablevision's entire service area immediately and is the fastest residential service ubiquitously deployed in the nation.
