dlewis had to look up the link, but a very close race. You both beat me and my satelite.

It's nice to beat people... but when you are beating someone on satellite did you really win?  ... poor satellite users... now they..... they always lose.  lol

maybe you should take your chair's leg off the network cable...

:haha: good point!

but since i have great speed against other sites, it must be a issue in the route or server.

most likely a server issue since i have no loss.

VanBuren :)

That's harsh, CA3LE!  :haha:

Its actually true, with the 22,500 mile signal up and then again down. Sat will never win.  :(   No matter how fast it is.

We do fair better globally though.  :icon_thumleft:

No real long distance to England at all. Same 45,000 mile trip.

One other point I read recently also, if all systems around you were down. All it would take to get sat is a generator.  :D

  • 4 weeks later...

so if everyone agrees that testmy is more accurate then why are some people posting their speedtest.net scores in their sig?...just curious...doesn't make sense to me...posting inaccurate scores...and advertising for the site that did the test...

Don't take it personal, darlin'.  ;)

I think it's just the cool gauges they use that attract the guys. Makes it look like a sports car or something.  :haha:

CA3LE will get us something even cooler soon enough  :evil6:

Yeah, especially those of Van Buren's. The ones that look like he is about to bust the speedometers.   (by the way, just joking Van) [i am actually still just jealous ]  :tongue2:

I thought we decided that as long as we keep seeing TMN on other web sites that we were not going to get our feathers in a ruffle?     :?:

tommie, my feathers r not in a ruffle and i hear what ur saying but that's not what my post was about...the test is not accurate and it appears that testmy some how stands behind this other site...it's not up to testmy standards...i know what u guys r saying...but it's not going to be allowed...it in fact is against the sig standards in the forum rules...and we don't advertise for other speed test sites for free (there is a link in the lefthand column for that) and it's not free, i don't think it is anyway (they'd have to ask google)... :haha:

i know it looks cool...but the test is not up to our standards...i'm not trying to sound snooty but it's just a fact...we all know it

like i said...compare us with the rest and come back to the best :P

i couldn't agree more...but...^^^...see above

My apologies. If it is in the rules, it is not that much to ask. Rules should be adhered if they are not rediculious, of which these are not. So be it.

But does that mean that the hooters and whoppers are out??

philp you mean like twin hooters spinning faster in opposite circles as you go faster. (or the girls could see a whopper spinning)

I do get a little confused though. So no more speed test site posts at all? Including speakeasy, VanBurens, Toast, etc... Or what exactly. I think over time it is a little hard to understand where the line actually stands. Possibly you could have CA3LE make an explicit post on the exactness of this rule, please.
