Projecter and pull down

Well let me start by.. Im thinking of buying a projector and obviously the pull down part......

1. Whats are the pull downs called....

2. Can you just project it onto the wall instead of the pull down........

What i was really wondering is how far back away from the pull down would the projector have to be mounted..... to get a picture... basically i have seen a 66" pull down.... and was wondering would my room be bigger enough for the projector to use all 66" inches............

i room measuers...... 105" X 109"

if you are talking about the old fashioned school stuff.

1) Screen

2) Yes, it will work without the screen.

Just carry it in your hands and walk back until you think it is  about right.

FIrst the screen has a reflective coating that will make the picture look better.. instead of just projecting it onto a wall.. However they are not cheap.  Most projectors have a maximum screen size.  This is due to the lens that is used..  I would check that first then make sure that you have enough distance from the wall to the screen to allow for the supersize screen.
