Nope, we don't get the boost here (Denver) until mid-September, and from what I've seen of others who have it already I would be higher than 12...

I use SpeedConnect MC:

http://www.cbs-soft.com/speedconnect.htm

using setting for: Cable Mode 3

I've never had below 9 since I installed it, and usually faster.

Very cool, because when I tried other tweaking, it really didn't make an impact.

Well sorry to tell you this, but you got ripped off... All that program basically is, is a clone of CableNut, that is more user friendly (which is free).

Here is a screenshot of PowerBOOST in action for those who want to drool:

it's not ?.........Oh OK you're right I get that speed all the time.

I know it's only temporary as I have stated in other posts.

Oh and by the way it doesn't last through half the download, it's more of a time constrained boost, that download screenshot I showed took about 2 Min. total for 266 Megs. it started at about 4MB/s and toward the end of the download it was down to about 1.7 MB/s

Plus I am on the 8Meg plan so it would be obvious I would get a little better than yours ;)

S-A WebSTAR DPC2100 Series DOCSIS Cable Modem Ethernet+USB <<HW_REV: 1.1; VENDOR

: S-A; BOOTR: 2.1.5; SW_REV: v2.0.1r1135; MODEL: DPC2100>>

System up time                      = 0 days 00h 00m 10.00s

Downstream channel frequency        = 549000000 Hz

Downstream received signal power    = -5.8 dBmV

Upstream channel frequency          = 22000000 Hz

SigQu: Signal to Noise Ratio        = 35.1 dB

Cable modem status                  = Ranging complete

Upstream transmit signal power      = 38.0 dBmV

Press any key to continue . . .

Info I got while I rebooted the modem with the program.

When I looked in the Cable Modem status page, mine was also like 42 Mbps/10 Mbps when rebooting (I looked), and then when it downloaded a .cfg file, the cap went to 6.6 Mbps/384 Kbps.
