  • 3 weeks later...

I'm surprised that the wind does not seem to cause any signal problems as sensitive the dish is to movement. Even with a very solid pole mount, still plenty of flex allowed? I have seen plenty of high wind gust 60+ and still not out of adjustment. :cool2:

True, but around here the wind can bring plenty of snow at times and I could barely see the road at the time of posting. Now it's time to go out and use the snow blower.

:nono: Sorry alicanny,  those are definatley not satelite speeds. At least not hughes speeds.  :evil6:  ( I know they are RR )

alicanny, here in this section our cable may only be up to 100 feet long and then ends, try shortening yours and terminating it, see if it works.

But welcome to the forum.

Today I get this error message after I run and upload or a download speed test.

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Lost connection to MySQL server during query in /home/testmyn/public_html/tools/test/results.php on line 323

Could not connect:

I've noticed that I get slow uploads and downloads when my transmission info has lots of errors.  At one time, I had more failed transmissions than successful transmissions.  Any connection here???

Most of my trouble seemed to start when I upgraded to the 7000s.

TRANSMISSION INFO

Transmit Status Transmitter ready. (TxCode 8)

Number of Successful Transmissions 36969

Number of Failed Transmissions 26145

Number of Packets Submitted for Transmission 16370

You seem to have a problem here. More information :?: is needed about your HN7000S system, longitude, receive frequency, ACP and Signal Strength.

I defrag about once a week.

I do the rest of my cleaning about as frequently.

I only restart my modem when I have trouble.  Certainly not each time I get on the net.  Maybe I should?!?

I have another computer on my home network that the kids use.  It seldom gets cleaned.  When I still had my DW6000, it always ran faster then my main computer.  I've taken to cleaning it completely once a week, or so.

I probably should be better at cleaning.
