A dirty computer can not run fast.  :wink2:

Then try tweaking.

And welcome to the forum breadboi if I haven't already.  :welcome:

TCP Optimizer is the easiest, and cablenut is the most tweakable.  :grin2:

My desktop is about 2 weeks old only, so I don't think it has a matinence problem.  I normally check for spyware/viruses/clear cache/ and do disk matience and get the same speeds. The only thing I haven't tried is tweaking the registry.

Well do that (if you want to  :wink2:) and then show us your speeds.

Hm I was looking through some of the guides, and one of them says never connect through USB, always ethernet. What's wrong with USB? I used USB for a while and it seemed fine.

What were the differences between the speeds of both. Ethernet is supposed to be faster.  :smile2:

Also I do maintenance daily. It does help. I am so used to it running right, it bugs me when it is off just a bit now.  :tickedoff:
