Try reading these g0moz, the whole thing.

Normal maintenance. It truly helps. I do most of it daily. I hate a slow dirty computer.

Second the tweaks. I prefer the TCP Optimizer for it being easier, and it worked better in my case anyway.

Also post a speed test first with this. Clear out your temp files before testing, it takes you directly into the test.

your not going to see the 8MB i would think you should be able to get faster then 5 or 6. have you tried tweaking with anything else other then drtcp.

at most he could see a bit over 6.5 mb as my friend has covad adsl which is 1 mb upload and 8 mb download and his speeds are about 850/6500 most of the time but he lives under 10,000 feet from the C-O.  he has adsl2+

hes gotta be on a RT then to get that speed if he is under 10,000 feet. if was under 5000 feet then he would be direct on the co and get closer to the 8mbps.

i cant wait for the 50/50 package to come out  :smile2:

I really dought that you will be able to go any faster then what your already going at since Cable Modems only support 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0 versions.  The 3.0 version hasnt come out yet. 2.0 caps at 32mb I believe that to be true with all HSC companies using the 2.0 version.

hey guys .well the advertised speed is up to 8 meg. at first you think wow 8 but its only up to.. but I am quite happy with that.  I have tried tcp optimizer and drtcp. one either changes the other but i don't know if i could get anymore..  with tweaking .. anybody got any other ideas..

me 2  and congrats TMN Veteran coknuck, lol that is a long tour  :wink2::lol:

:violent1: Old long time friend, it appears you have only covered 1/2 of the same distance in 1/2 of the same time. So my calculations seem to be that it will also take you just as long to reach the same distance for the same tour.  :laughing7:
