Here is the single digit uploads again.....went from 92Kbps at 8.15am to this as the day went by. The amazing part is the download stays around 1MBps all day. All I know is the DW6000 is well capable of higher uploads and able to hold them steady, because one daylast month I ran over 100Kbps up all day long!....of course there test showed be at 256k and up that day

Glad to see you checked your cross pol - very important to having a pasing cross pol otherwise your connection with stall and lag-  Even if the cross pol is failing once in awhile it shouldnt- remember cross pol has nothing to do with your signal strength as you see it.  Go to advanced and check your cross pol (by running cross pol test) and be sure it passes - if not then try running it until it passes and then call support - dish needs to be aligned.  GLAD YOU FIXED IT!.

My opinion is there are issues on the providers side.....my uploads speeds have seem to improve drastically over the past week here. Previously my upload speed would fall into the single digits most of the day, later in the night would be over 100Kbps. Now almost every up test I run scores over 45...regardless of time. The speed of course still fluctuates but does not drop out as before

My sat has not been moved or adjusted during this time period, nor has any changes been made to my system so the fix for the flow issue must have been on there side. At least now I can send out attachments in a few seconds rather than waiting 30mins! I was near ready to [glow=red,2,300]upgrade[/glow] to dial up? Seems each individual has different results depending on site location and what bird is being used.

Some information on dish pointing.....

My installer was happy to tell me all about the system when he was here, this is what he told me about pointing the dish..

The pointing of this DW6000 dish or any dish on the DW system is very fine, he told me that it is not like pointing a direct TV dish, its more precise, its more like a pin dot rather then a target, reason is, the satelitte is beaming down all across the US, but when we transmit back to it we are aiming the dish at a satelitte some 28,000 miles away that is not much bigger then my house!

He also told me that if moved it will fail for many reasons, one of them being bleeding aver into another cell on the satelitte, not sure if that is bull or what, I cant say, I am not an expert in this.

So if you attempt to make adjustments to your dish, MARK where it was first on both planes, you may need to change the up down as well as the left right, make very small fine changes and watch your signal indicator, your best bet is to buy a signal meter with a needle, not sure if they work with DW dishes but I got one to line up my TV dish, I know different system, thats why I dont know if it will work.

Best of luck to you.

I'm certain my dish is already peaked out around 72....what I'm talking about is the uploads, the numbers are all over the place. I can run this test a few mins from now it may be only half of this. Are you saying yours is not like this?

Try it with the biggest file, the file your using is too small and will not give an accurate rating! then post again, mine are about the same depending on the time of day!

Uploads suck, I need the upload speed but I know I am not going to improve matters.

Got to live with it I guess

.

The page that displays the list of test tells you about it being a "waste of time" to choose a bigger test with
