Connection Fails after short time idle

I had to reinstall my entier windows sp2 media centre and i was wondering if anyone noticed that their connection simply turns off / fails after only a short time idle. is there any way of make it stay on? It is a cable connection and i have no idea why in the world it turns off, any suggestions?

Try this:

Control Panel-->System-->Hardware-->Device Manager-->Network Adapters

Right click on your network adapter, choose Properties

Select 'Power Management' tab

UNcheck the box next to 'Allow the Computer to turn off this device to save power'  (this is always checked/enabled by default)
