Any way to get better pings?

ppills

Recommended Posts

Is there any way to get a lower ping. I'm on 6mb/400kbps cable which I might add works great and speeds are also great. But, when I play games online my ping is always in the 125-150 range, and hardly ever gets below 100, and almost never lower than 90.

I searched this board a bit before making this topic. But, is there maybe a tool/guide somewhere here I can use to help me maybe tweak my connection to get better pings.

The tracerts look pretty clean there is on router, 208.172.139.130, that looks like it might be a little slow.. Anything below 150ms is pretty good for gaming.. Improving it is something that you really cant control as it looks like an issue of a router not your computer.  You can take a look at the Killer NIC.  I doubt it would help in your situation.
