I have the 3com Sharkfin modem and have had for many years.  Can anyione tell if this modem will limit my speed?  Are there any real changes from this modem to a newer one?

:::.. Download Stats ..:::

Download Connection is:: 4357 Kbps about 4.4 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB)

Download Speed is:: 532 kB/s

Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Server 1)

Test Time:: 2007/01/18 - 2:59pm

Bottom Line:: 76X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 1.92 sec

Tested from a 5983 kB file and took 11.25 seconds to complete

Download Diagnosis:: Looks Great : 16.9 % faster than the average for host (bhfc.net)

D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-FROQEK63G

User Agent:: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; Maxthon; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727) [!]

This numbers look fairly good, but I've seen much higher on here.  I'm planning on getting a new computer soon and wonder if I should get a new modem too.
