Stupid SmartBro reps!!!

For those who is having speed issues, definitely, the basestation is the problem... Well, it happened to me already and it returned to normal after 2 days..

Just ask sir jun101ph and sir gourame for help if you're 100% sure the problem is in you computer.. They definitely can help you..

And remember, you can't do a darn thing if the problem is in the base station!!

there's always a point on how you see a good service from being the best there is as stated. lets have an example, when they said literally that they are the "pambansang broadband" which translates to being the best there is in the country, i would not say yes and wouldn't say no either, smart has a big reputation and they proved that because they had this type of internet at a low cost, most nationwide coverage, and no because all throughout this time its their own customers that are going against them for the frailty of the services, changing isp's out of frustration and bad service experience, which makes me say they are not what they claimed to be. reasons are not justified because of this and that, its because they all just wanna run with our money instead of earning the trust to be truly as they claimed to be "pambansang broadband". this words isn't new to us under their flagship. the more we seek for a better service the more we just end up being misled. hope they see whats right, and hope they will give us that warmth of responsibility.

hi Djay and welcome to the forums. glad you read the guides on tweaking and hope it helped you. to know how your speed is doing now and before you could have done some previous speedtest prior to the tweaks. in case you think that you are running well after tweaking then mostly it helped. many have come here before with their speed way below the broadband standards and made it better and improved, hope we can share to you some good points on tweaks and stuff, feel free to ask around, welcome again to the forums.

are you sure the speed unit in kbps or in kBps? if in kbps then your speed is really slow (kilobits per second = kbps).

this is a cablenut topic, as you read on you can download the cablenut program and install it to your pc. much has been said about cablenut as it goes with ease, there are also other programs like TCP/Optimizer for one, i haven't touched on that latter part as I am a cablenut user. just give it a try. try this file setting and see if it makes your line more stable, my personal setting.  :2funny:

this just a suggestion:

if you like you can try also TCP optimizer and see the difference :D ofcourse one a time only, (disable cablenut while using tcp optimizer)

i'm a TCP optimizer user, here's my current speed test:

:::.. testmy.net test results ..:::

Download Connection is:: 543 Kbps about 0.54 Mbps (tested with 579 kB)

Download Speed is:: 66 kB/s

you can actually use both optimizers, cablenut and sg tcp optimizer.

instruction for sg tcp optimizer:

on the general settings, the network adapter selection = select your LAN card

and then click optimal settings.  :wink:

the tcp optimizer will just enhance other settings which cablenut have not changed. no side-effects. :wink:

i have tried cablenut and tcp optimizer at the same time now. my current speedtest:

Someone needs to Bleed!  :knuppel2: :knuppel2:

It seems that they did something at the basestation and reverted back my speed.  :tickedoff:

im now out of the 400kbps benchmark. Oh well, ( hindi araw-araw pasko )  :grin:

but i preferably use tcp optimizer, it just work for me :)

What's your settings for TCP Optimizer? Did you put the slider to 384 kBps and used optimal settings?

Seems like your net connection does'nt go down below 400...

Maybe I should try your settings after you post it...

Thanks!!

I'm pretty sure your hard drive is full of files from P2P anyway because of your previous speeds... :grin: :grin:
