guys i need some help. i cant update my canopy...i already used the Network Updated Tool but it says in the STATE - "Not Responding". maybe i don't have the proper version of CNUT??. now what i am after for is the "MAC address" thing in order for me to have the proper version but i cant go up on the roof and look for the sticker on our canopy. our canopy antenna is so high. is there any other option on that?.. my friend recommend the SIW (System Info for windows) and i find there the MAC address but when i enter it to the Motorola site My Unit MAC Address(ESN) it says that my mac address is not valid canopy/PTP esn.. xenxa na po. im kinda newbie on tweaking canopy.. please i really need ur help on here guys..

10 Steps to run TCPIP Patcher:

1) Download zipped file (english version) @ http://www.lvllord.de/?lang=en&url=downloads#4226patch

2) Save zipped file to Desktop, then unzip file

3) Double click patch

4) When prompted "Do you really want to change the limit to xx? (where x is a number)

5) Press C for change

6) Type 100

7) When prompted again "Do you really want to change the limit to 100?

8.) Press Y for yes

9) When Windows File Protection pop up appears click cancel then click yes.

10) Press any key to exit, then restart computer.

That's it! Good luck guys.  :smiley:

how will i know if i already patched it? is there a way to know it?

That's because the MAC Address you got is your NIC's mac address and not the Canopy's :)

If you can access the Canopy Webpage you can find the ESN/MAC Address of the Antenna there.

so there is no other choice but to climb up to the rooftop and get that MAC address?

I guess yes, the only way to get the Physical Address/Mac Address is to go up the roof, take out the Canopy bottom cover and get the ESN.

Or use this hehehe

Hope I helped you :)

i got this from http://www.computing.net/windowsxp/wwwboard/forum/144718.html

"Rename the folder to x

Click on Start and Run.

Type cmd and click OK.

At the prompt you should see;

C:Documents and SettingsOwner

Type cd desktop and press [Enter]

*note the space after cd

You should now see;

C:Documents and SettingsOwnerDesktop

Type RMDIR x and press [Enter]

*note the space after RMDIR

The folder should be gone now."

try it. there's nothing to lose.
