2) This will increase your Receive Window (RWin) and Send Window (SWin):

Go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSet

ServicesTcpipParameters

DefaultReceiveWindow = 937500

DefaultSendWindow = 937500

Just in case these parameters are not there yet, you can create them by right clicking then select NewDWORD Value.

There you go. Restart PC and enjoy faster browsing

like your destop how can i get all of them to my tool bar shortcut ^_^

sory for paste!!! hehehe

How to create a toolbar shortcut?

1) Open My Computer, go to the main folder or drive you want to create the 'Shortcuts" folder (example 'My Documents' or drive D: )

2) In drive D: go to FileNewFolder, rename it to "Shortcuts" (w/o the quotes).

3) Cut the applications/programs shortcuts in your desktop and paste it in "Shortcuts" folder.

4) Close drive D:

5) Go to your toolbar, right-click, point to 'Toolbars', then point to and click 'New Toolbar', a new window will pop up.

6) In the pop up window, click My Computer, click drive D:, click Shortcuts folder, then click OK.

That's it. Enjoy your toolbar shortcut and the benefit of a faster desktop startup.

@CB

how does overclock works??

i found an article regarding this (credits go to ssprncvegeta of ocforums - thank you).

What is Overclocking?

Overclocking is the process of making various components of your computer run at faster speeds than they do when you first buy them. For instance, if you buy a Pentium 4 3.2GHz processor, and you want it to run faster, you could overclock the processor to make it run at 3.6GHz.

@ ayashino. ok so you got plenty of progs and processes running in your pc. i felt some of them are useless and probably would slow down your download speed.

so here are my recommendations, but you are not obliged to follow everything if you don't feel like doing it.

A) please refer to the "processes" image below. read first the feedbacks/reviews on these items before proceeding. those in yellow color are the ones you can disable in startup. these are:

1) LimeWire - this will really slow down your DL speed!

2) WLLoginProxy.exe http://www.file.net/process/wlloginproxy.exe.html

3) jusched.exe http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/process/jusched.exe.html

4) SOUNDMAN.EXE http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies-archive.cfm/728027.html

5) MsPMSPSv.exe http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/process/mspmspsv.exe.html

6) ctfmon.exe - CTFMON.exe is a largely unnecessary Microsoft Office executable that likes to run even while Office is not. It has something to do with Alternative User Input and the Office Language bar, apparently. Here
