Recommended Posts

hi all ..

my hardy driver Apacer 256mb cant been format ... is came out ' The disk is write

protected 'or it need other software to format it ????

As said if you have a DOS startup disk stick it in and type format [drive letter such as F:]. Other wise I have this great partition manager which boots your PC up from a disk  a normal CDROM and it manages partitions great and can format and all that.

the apacer is a usb flash drive. it might have a small sliding switch to set it to write protected. look for a small slider on the case and move it, then try writing to it again.

 good thinking hmm I've never seen a flash drive with a write protecting switch but I was thinking a 256 MB hard drive would have to be ancient  :2funny:
