i didnt push much, i set the memory to 1000 and core at 620 at first, but then i saw artifacts so i lowered core to 605

maybe i should have lowered the memory and increased core, i dunno whats best.

temps got up, gpu was around 80 C idle, dont want to know the temps on load lol

Need more validation links so users with results in the ORB can compare properly.

My Compare URL: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=1198068

Very nice results Van. Your processor & graphics card are a monster match up. You'll be hitting 11K before the day is over with. :evil6:

Thxz for the link.

Don't know if my results will improve with the extra gig of ram I put in. Guess I'll OC and test soon.

i agree, more links!

also a good AGP score :)

are your GPU at stock speed?

one more gig should help a bit, but i dont think much

almost 11k now

here is the latest clock 616/2030

10967p

think ill give up, dont want to ruin something to pass 11k lol

i think the 320MB model i have suffer in these test compared to the 640MB model, but o well games run smooth and thats all i ask for  :grin2:

i wish i had your processor. lol

you can get the q6600 now for like $500..

havent seen any tests with the q6600, i assume its locked CPU multiplier on that one

its not much benefits with quadcore in 3d, atleast not yet. I bought this quadcore since i plan to have this PC for 5 years.

I figured its easy to upgrade the videocards when its needed

i think this is the way it works

im not 100% sure tho.

bus speed is the speed in which data is transfered in and out of the cpu (usually around 1000MHz?)

FSB is the speed in which data is tranfered  within the cpu

memory as in RAM? the faster the ram the better but.

If your FSB is slower then ram speed than your processor will be bottlenecking the ram

if ram speed is slower then FSB than your ram is bottlenecking your cpu

ratio..dividers..

its the best to keep ram speed to FSB ratio in 1:1 but its hard sometimes so its usually 2:3 or cpu/9

BTW my ratio is 4:5

200mhz FSB and 250mhz ram

11x multiplier on cpu = 2200mhz =]
