- 15 m
- 18 m
- 24 m
- 20 m

Option 2 : 18 m

Given:

The ratio of length and breadth = 6 ∶ 5

Area of rectangular field = 270 m2

Formula used:

Area of rectangle = L × B

Where, Length = L, Breadth = B

Calculation:

Let the length and breadth of the rectangle be 6k and 5k

According to the question

Area of rectangle = L × B

⇒ 270 = 6k × 5k

⇒ 270 = 30k2

⇒ 9 = k2

⇒ 3 m = k

Length, (L) = 6k = 18 m

Breadth, (B) = 5k = 15 m

∴ The length of the rectangular field is 18 m

In the solution, we have 9 = k2

Here, the value of k will be +3 and -3 but length/breadth can never be measured in negative

So, we will not consider k = -3 for the solution
