help with router and crappy speeds

ok i updated the firmware on my router witch is a hawkings HWR54G to get some featurs working like the url filter working and what not so i was like kool they fixed the url filter then i come her and test the speed i lost like half my speed when i use the SmarTest yet when i use the largest test its norm speed and i also not get the worst bt download speeds i put this comp back in dmz

i get about 5 kB/s no matter what torrent im dling

any ideas?
