Has, nVidia 6200SE Basic Summot Card 512Mb PC3200 DDR SDRAM installed Intel Celeron D 346 (3066mhz) Thinking about upgrading the RAM mainly and probably a new GFX card... About ~2GB Ram so thats enough for when my lil bro does the odd game here and there.. This is a standard Fujitsu-Siemens ScaleoP so dont really know whats in it.. Swimmer Posted June 22, 2007 CID Share Posted June 22, 2007 The celeron D has more that enough power to get the job done. If you do put 2gb of ram in the motherboard will be at its max. Not a huge deal but that also means that the next time you want to upgrade memory it is going to need a whole new motherboard. I personally would get a new one now that supports the celeron D, the core duo, amd the core 2 duo so that you have lots of space to upgrade. It will also buy you the ability to put around 4gb or ram into the system. I didnt see the socket type of your system.. Just make sure you get the correct one. Or if your harddrive is big enough, partition it out and put xp on its own partition. At least you can play with your computer til you get the parts. If parts are gonna be cashy maybe consider building a new one? That can be done little bit at a time and much better than a pre build job. Its really easy to do. I did it. Do wanna say I am NOT a fan of vista. I had it for about a month, got rid of it and do not want it back. Faster and better than xp? Not for me. Maybe after the 2nd service pack. Not until then.
