need help to set cablenut for netgear wrt814 and cox cable

need the settings for cablenut that work with an netgear router (wrt814) and cox cable ( motorola surfboard 5120 modem)

cannot get test resoults to show as good keeps showing need help 24% to 32% of host speed

speed is 6 megs and 512 k isp rated

getting :::::

Download Connection is:: 2424 Kbps about 2.4 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)

Download Speed is:: 296 kB/s

Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Server 2)

Test Time:: 2007/06/23 - 9:06am

Bottom Line:: 42X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 3.46 sec

Tested from a 2992 kB file and took 10.111 seconds to complete

Also does anyone know what antenna connector the router wrt814 uses

as seeking to get a high gian antenna soon for it

I don't think cable nut will help with the connection between the router and the modem and it sounds like thats  where the problem is. You may want to play with the MTU size in the router configuration. Try setting it to 1500 first and play with it from there if the speeds aren't where they were when your computer was connected directly to the cable modem.

I was assuming above that you are connected to the router via a wired connection and not wireless. Is that true?

No I connect via 802.11 wireless 95% of the time

and cannot get a good connection

so seeking a cablenut setting that is known to work with my equipment
