You could try some of the tweaks that are posted here on testmy.net, and you may get a bit more. The first # " 256 " equates to 256kbps download cap, in other words , this is the maximum amount of download bandwidth that your connection will be allowed. The same with the second. I'm not saying you cannot get a bit more from this, but you must do a bit of " tweaking " with such programs as cablenut, and a few others here on testmy.net in order to achieve the best performance. I should say this. In your modem,( is sent ther from ISP servers when you turn on your modem) there is a small program , that may or may not be called a " boot file " , this file adjusts the flow of data in , and out of your connection. This is what your ISP, or internet service provider , uses to control how much bandwidth your connection will be allowed. The more you pay, the more you get. In some cases, there isn't much option.
