I was reading through the forums and i saw that a lot of you guys build your own computers and an i idea popped into my head and i thought I could build one too. so i searched around and found these, which i thought would make a pretty good computer. I just need your guys help with it. heres what i found so far:

what do you guys think. all for only $430. I got to make sure it will all work together. And that i have everything to make it run. I dont know much, but i believe i can do it. The only thing im worried about is the software. Will all of it just work right away or will i have to install this stuff. My brother know more about computers so im sure he'll be helping me.

I plan to upgrade even more in the future, like getting a good video card. I really want to be able to run it though my tv (hopefully in HD).

I could use any advice you guys have.

Great man, you will love it and do great. Just make sure your mobo chipset matches your processor. Looks like a GREAT system for the price. Did you pick out a graphics card or did I miss it? I didnt see one. Oops I just read your post better.

:smile2: well JH2688 , I faced that dilemma about  5 years back ,and  knowing nowt about puters , 10 builds on without any real problems I can smile about it all , but I will never forget the first build ,(it went OK )  I can't comment on your parts as I am from the UK but I wish we had newegg over here !, anyway between your brother and TMN , you have access to the best help going ,

but wait for the experts opinion first ,

Thats makes me feel much better. Do i need the video card right away or can i just wait on that? And one more thing should i run vista? or can i ran vista?

If your mobo has video you will do ok. I would say you COULD run Vista, but due to the fact you are building your pc and could have driver trouble anyway I wouldnt compound it with Vista. But you could run it fine.

That happen some times. Now you have the right information to make up a new shopping list :grin2: that will work with that motherboard. Just do not give up ,I built my first computer about 2 years ago and that the only way I will get a new computer now.

if you want to run vista i would recommend buying a big box system. that way you know it has all the drivers (should anyway) and you will save on the license since the oem with the box is cheaper than buying a retail for a homebuild. if you have an xp license lying around and are fine with it then go ahead and homebuild.

All for $500,  Its a little more than i thought but i think its worth it. I ended up going to 2-1GB of memory, it was less expensive to buy 2 than just 1. Can someone make sure that the memory will work with the MB. I couldn't find a memory compatibility sheet for it.

My brother has a copy with windows XP that should work.

Here is were you can find what memory that works with that board. Look under Memory Support List.

http://www.gigabyte-usa.com/Support/Motherboard/CPUSupport_Model.aspx?ClassValue=Motherboard&ProductID=2527&ProductName=GA-MA69G-S3H

I do not see the memory that you want to buy there. But it could be a old list, call Gigabyte support and I am sure they can tell you if it will work with their board. You might want to change that 80mm rear fan to a 120mm fan to get better air flow in the case,  Everything else looks good.

Hey guys, I got all my stuff on thursday. I got it all put together and working, it was so easy. The only hard part was figuring out where to plug everything in at.I still need a OS, but i have wait a week for my brother to get back from vacation so i can use one of his. Im thinking about taking a hard drive out of a different computer and sticking that one in there to make sure everything works smoothly.

Heres some pics of it.
