Wow...Burnt Pixels!!!

Ok well I took back a Compaq laptop I bought like 3 months ago for having a burnt pixel. I then ended up seeing a Toshiba Satellite that I bought instead, now after 3 months I get a burnt pixel on this laptop. I am sick of it and I plan on doing nothing about it because I can't live without my laptop. Now my main question is, is there anyone else that is living with a burnt pixel? I just want to know if there is anyone else that is ignoring one.

:haha: Yeah there are advantages to CRT after all.  :smitten:

Yeah, no fried faeries.  :haha:

I do remember reading somewhere that there may be a few pixels in the screen that may not work, but I think this was for re manufactured ( could be seconds also).

wyantm06 you have to be doing some because this really doesn't happen anymore. epically on 2 laptops that you have had. Call up Toshiba on it. I have had god know how many laptops, and a ton of LCD monitors (4 new ones ever 4 - 6 months  :haha:) And i have never had this problem.

If you do the whole touching thing on it this will happen.

Are you sure its a Burnt pixel and NOT a stuck pixel

Burnt pixels are very hard to do / get on LCD screens

if its black then its dead and nothing can be done for it but replacing the screen

if its a colour red or blue then its more likely a Stuck one then you could try a little program called Jscreenfix http://www.jscreenfix.com/deluxe.php

if its green then more othen than not the manuacturer will say its in spec

It's a white dot. I tried using some programs to fix it and nothing yet.
